Who I am
This website is run by me, Dan Vexler, a children’s author. You can contact me at hello@danvexler.com. I’m responsible for the personal information described below.

What I collect and why

• Newsletter: if you sign up, I collect your email address (and your name, if you give it) so I can send you news about my books. I do this with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

• Contact messages: if you email me or use a contact form, I use what you send to reply to you.

• Website use: this site is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to run the site and to show me basic visitor statistics.

Who I share it with
I use Squarespace to run the site and the newsletter. Squarespace handles your information on my behalf. I’ll never sell your information or share it for advertising.

How long I keep it
I keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe. I keep emails you send me for as long as needed to deal with your message.

Children
This website is enjoyed by readers of all ages, but the newsletter and contact details are for adults. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given me their details, please email me and I’ll delete them.

Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Email me at hello@danvexler.com to use any of these rights. If you’re unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
